For the 2013-2014 school year the club supported Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) Nepal. ECDC serves the children of imprisoned parents in Nepal. You can read more about ECDC here. The club was able to raise funds to gift an Electronic Voice Recorder to Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC), Nepal. The voice recorder is useful when the staff of ECDC goes to the prisons to interview inmates. Some of the children belonging to these inmates end up coming to ECDC's “Butterfly Home” and staying there for several years. STEP has decided to support ECDC in this effort by selling their T-shirts and raising funds including educational supplies. Our founder, Saloni Sharma, took a trip to Kathmandu to work with CNN 2012 hero Pushpa Basnet. She donated schools supplies and while she was there she also taught the ECDC students.
